PRESS RELEASE

GRAND OPENING

HEALTHIER AND STRONGER FIRST-RESPONDERS EQUAL SAFER COMMUNITIES FOR ALL

THE SHELBURN POLICE RESERVE ASSOCIATION CORP. AND THE SHELBURN FIRE/RESCUE INC. COME TOGETHER TO BUILD SULLIVAN COUNTY’S FIRST EVER WELLNESS AND EDUCTION CENTER FOR FIRST RESPONDERS!

The two organizations have come together to create the Shelburn First Responders’ Wellness and Education Center. The Center was designed and created specifically for First-Responders and their immediate families. President, Matthew Price, of the Shelburn Reserve Association Approached Fire Chief, Alex Norris, of the Shelburn Fire/Rescue with an idea to promote and encourage heathier First -Responders within our County.

The Wellness and Education Center will provide first-responders and their families with a much needed fitness and education center. The Center will educate and encourage them on how to become both physically and mentally fit for their families and the communities in which they support and protect. The Center will be provided to the first-responders at no cost to them.

The Center will have its’ Grand Opening on Friday January 14th at 11:00AM. All press and public are welcomed and encouraged to attend and show support for our first-responders. A ribbon cutting ceremony by the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce will be followed by an open house. The Wellness center is located at 17 N Railroad St. in Shelburn directly between the Shelburn Volunteer Fire Department and the Town of Shelburn water office.

The Center’s creation was made possible by donations and the unwavering support of our local businesses and community leaders. We want to thank all of our supporters and local community leaders for their continued support and efforts to make the Center a reality. We encourage everyone to visit our web site www.spdreserveassociation.org to continue showing support through donations and encouragement as well as view our current supporters.
